Lois finds Clark's lifeless body and removes the blue kryptonite enabling him to heal himself. Lois sneaks away before Clark fully awakens in order to protect his secret. Chloe is desperate to find Oliver, so she turns to an unlikely source for answers. Jonathan returns to the Kent Farm with a message for Clark, and Tess awakens in a LuthorCorp lab.

When Lois leaves for Egypt, Clark gets a new partner: reporter Catherine "Cat" Grant. he soon discovers that she's been targeted by an assassin who never misses. Meanwhile, Oliver searches for Chloe and Lois commiserates with archaeologist Carter Hall.

Radio shock jock Gordon Godfrey rises from obscurity to lead a campaign against the Metropolis vigilantes. However, Clark is busy dealing with the return of his cousin, Kara, who informs him that Jor-El has summoned her to Earth to deal with the coming darkness. Meanwhile, Godfrey threatens to reveal Oliver's secret to the world, leading Lois to take drastic measures to stop him.

Lois convinces Clark to attend his 5-year high school reunion. However, when they arrive a face from the past confronts Clark: Brainiac, now the heroic Brainiac 5 of the 31st century. he shows Clark images from the hero's past, present, and future to warn him if what he will become if he gives into the darkness.

Lois decides to tell Clark she knows he's the Blur, but she accidentally activates an ancient artifact that transforms her into the Goddess Isis, complete with superpowers of her own. Oliver Clark reluctantly decide to ask Tess for help with Lois. Meanwhile, after Cat Grant witnesses Lois as Isis using her superpowers, she decides Lois is the Blur and sets out to prove it.

Clark gets Lois out of town to cover a story so she won't risk herself at an antihero rally, but they find themselves in an isolated village where the townspeople plan to perform a yearly sacrifice... and Lois is their next victim. Meanwhile, Tess tries to cope with a rapidly aging Alexander as begins to experience Lex Luthor's memories.

The General and Lucy Lane decide to drop in on Lois and Clark for a surprise Thanksgiving dinner. Clark and the General get off to a rocky start after Lois' father bashes the superheroes and tells Clark he is trying to pass a vigilante registration law. Meanwhile, in an effort to stop the vigilante registration act from being passed, Rick Flagg lies to Lucy in order to lure Clark away from the farm long enough for him to assassinate the General. Lois is torn between making her father proud and her love for Clark.

Lois finds a video made for her by her mother, Ella Lane, before she died. After watching the tape, Lois makes a drastic decision about her relationship with Clark that takes her to the Fortress, where she comes face to face with Jor-El and Lara. Meanwhile, Tess has a nightmare involving herself as a child and a music box. Upon awakening, she finds the music box in Luthor mansion and sets out to find out who planted it there. Clark accompanies her to an orphanage run by Granny Goodness, who may not have the young girls' best intentions in mind. One of the young women living there, Harriet, finds Clark snooping around and decides to take matters into her own very sharp hands.

In an effort to protect the rest of the team, Oliver decides to register for the Vigilante Registration Act to see what the government plans to do with the new law. As he suspected, it was a trap to lure superheroes to an undisclosed location where he is confined to a jail and subjected to a battery of brutal tests under the supervision of Col. Slade.

Tess discovers that Lionel left his heir a mirror box. When Clark accidentally activates it, he is transported to a twisted parallel dimension where Clark was raised by Lionel Luthor, who is still alive. Meanwhile, Clark Luthor has been transported to Clark's world, where he plans to escape his dominating father and conquer Earth.

The VRA is in full effect and things take an unfortunate turn of events after the Green Arrow tries to stop a mugging but is attacked by citizens for being a super hero. Clark discovers that the civilians who attacked Oliver were all marked with a darkness tattoo. Carter Hall and Star Girl return to help Clark deal with Slade's re-emergence after he kidnaps Lois.

The VRA release the captured heroes, who regroup and discover that they have all lost their powers, and remember Chloe Sullivan conducting medical experiments on them. The shock drives Oliver insane, and he receives a visitor... Chloe, who insists that things aren't what they seem.

Clark is surprised to see Martha on the news speaking at a pro-vigilante rally. However, surprise quickly turns to horror when he and Lois watch as Martha gets shot on national television. Meanwhile, Lionel reveals himself to the world and reclaims LuthorCorp from Tess and Oliver. Lois and Chloe decide to cheer Clark up by showing him videos from thousands of vigilante supporters professing their support for the Blur.

Chloe and Oliver inadvertently become involved with an FBI investigation killer, which leads them to Desaad, one of Darkseid's minions. Things take a turn for the worse when Desaad decides to recruit Chloe to his cause. Meanwhile, Lois prepares for the wedding and tries to convince Clark that he needs to create a secret identity.

Clark and Lois celebrate their bachelor parties, but wake up the next morning with no memories of what happened. As they trace back their steps, they discover that two of their party members got married, Lois bet away her ring, and Clark has a pet lemur.

Tess reveals the existence of Alexander's superpowers to Clark and asks him to mentor the boy. Meanwhile, the Earth-2 Lionel plans to take control of the boy and unleash his dark side.

In the seventeenth episode of season ten (s10e17) of TV show Smallville, we see that a mirror box is found out in the barn by Clark and he becomes surprised to see it there. Clark Luther also sends Clark Kent to a reality which is alternate. In the alternate reality Jonathon Kent comes face to face with Clark Kent.

In the eighteenth episode of season ten (s10e18) of TV show Smallville, it is seen that Lois advices Clark that he should make his character seem awkward so that no one suspects that he actually if the Blur. But they later find out a super hero from the future visits the Metropolis and charms the people and also poses for the press

In the nineteenth episode of season ten (s10e19) of TV show Smallville, when Tess comes to know that General Slade was rendered unconscious he is sure that access has been gained to the Phantoms Zone. Clark loses his powers and he is captured by zoners. The zoners then take Clark to their master who is Zod.

In the twentieth episode of season ten (s10e20) of TV show Smallville, Clark and Lois are about to get married and want to take the blessing of Jor-El and therefore decide to pay him a visit. Lois is bestowed with a special power through which she can experience the powers of her lover Clark only for a day.

The story of Clark Kent culminates in this epic two-hour series finale as Clark takes the last step to becoming the Man of Steel.
